I'm really fixated on the piles-of-pillows idea. Does anyone have suggestions for camp-friendly (or camp-unfriendly) materials?

Depends on where they're going to be. Out in the open? Things that are somewhat water/mudproof would be good. Protected from the elements? Almost anything would do. -Tall Matt

I have a quantity (100 sq ft? I forget; had them at Maker Fair under my whole booth) of puzzle-piece-edges rubber flooring mats that might be a nice lower layer somewhere. -- Edwin!

What about flooring made from the kids colorful large playmat puzzle pieces? Relatively inexpensive, durable and waterproof. --- snax
