Thanks for the grid! As far as programming goes, I only claim "dibs" on the first, oh, say, five minutes, to formally, but not necessarily legally, sign the station on the airwaves. Having signed on a number of stations over the years, it makes me feel good all over to say, "Nobody's listening! How could they be listening?! We just signed on!!"

Having an official announcement time, say, five minutes at the top of the hours may prove useful.

Have we heard back from the Radio Rangers yet? I am willing to make a call/email to move this aspect forward. We want to be more, um, public/community service this year. Plus, has anybody contacted the "Pirate" DJ group, the loudest DJ/PA group on the hill? They should def' get some airtime.

People sign up for slots and play whatever they want to! Edwin and I will assemble a machine full of MP3s and people can plug in their own iPods or CDs as well. As the time gets closer we'll figure out the station's operating hours and put up a grid so people can reserve slots, probably in one-hour increments. Last year we also simulcast whatever was going on at Glory Hole Theater starting around 8PM, but that may change this year with no big noisemaking stages up by the effigy. -- Tall Matt

I have no desire to DJ, but I am coming with an iPod full of a VERY eclectic music mix -- everything from Arabic rock to James Taylor and Hoagy Carmichael, with Britney Spears and Type O Negative. If I have time, I'll try to put together a flaming playlist as well. -- bel
